'Friends Of Gelliswick'
Supporting Our School Community
Friends of Gelliswick is a dedicated group of parents, carers, staff, and community members working together to support Gelliswick CiW VC Primary School. Our mission is to enrich the educational experience of every child by raising funds, organising events, and fostering a strong sense of community.
We help provide resources and opportunities that go beyond the classroom—whether it's funding new equipment, supporting school trips, or hosting fun, inclusive events for families. Every penny we raise goes directly back into the school to benefit pupils and enhance their learning environment.
We believe that when families and schools work together, amazing things happen. Whether you're able to volunteer your time, share ideas, or simply attend an event, you're helping make Gelliswick a vibrant and supportive place for all.
Together, we make a difference.
Volunteer Roles – Get Involved!
There are many ways to get involved with 'Friends of Gelliswick', and every contribution—big or small—makes a difference. Here are just a few of the volunteer roles you can take on:
- Event Helpers – Support school fairs, discos, and fundraising events by helping with setup, running stalls, or tidying up.
- Fundraising Coordinators – Help plan and organise creative ways to raise money for the school.
- Communications Support – Assist with newsletters, social media, and promoting events to the wider community.
- Refreshments Team – Provide or serve snacks and drinks at school events.
- Raffle & Prize Organisers – Source donations and manage prize draws.
- Behind-the-Scenes Support – Help with admin, counting funds, or preparing materials.
Whether you can spare an hour or commit regularly, we’d love to have you on board. Volunteering is a great way to meet other families, support the school, and make a positive impact.
