Pupil Voice
Pupil Senedd and Faith Ambassadors
At Gelliswick CiW VC Primary School, we believe in empowering our learners to become confident, responsible citizens who make a positive difference in their school and wider community. Two key groups that help us achieve this are our Pupil Senedd and Faith Ambassadors.
Pupil Senedd
Our Pupil Senedd is a democratically elected group of pupils who represent the voice of their classmates. They meet regularly to discuss ideas, raise concerns, and work on projects that improve school life. From promoting wellbeing and sustainability to supporting anti-bullying initiatives and organising charity events, the Senedd plays a vital role in shaping our school’s values and priorities. Their leadership helps foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and active citizenship.
Faith Ambassadors
Our Faith Ambassadors are pupils who help promote and uphold the core values of our school. They support assemblies, lead reflections, and help plan special events that celebrate kindness, respect, courage, and community. As role models of positive behaviour and integrity, they encourage others to live out these values in everyday life. Faith Ambassadors also help strengthen connections across the school, promoting a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
Together, the Pupil Senedd and Faith Ambassadors help ensure that every child has a voice and every child can shine.
KiVa Kids
KiVa Kids help all children to learn to play cooperatively with each other. They help children resolve minor conflicts and teach children to play a wider range of games. They help lonely children make more friends and most importantly, be available as a friend to all the other children.

Criw Cymraeg
The Criw Cymraeg supports the school in the delivery of a weekly Welsh assembly for Foundation Phase and KS2 pupils, where Welsh prayers and songs are shared and rewards are given to pupils who demonstrate high levels of skill, or indeed effort, in the Welsh language. They also organise events such as ‘Diwrnod Shwmae’ and fun activities and competitions that encourage pupils and staff to speak more Welsh during the day as well as sharing the ’Ymadrodd yr wythnos’ (Phrase of the week) with the pupils and families via the School’s Newsletter.
