Faith Ambassadors

At Gelliswick CiW VC Primary School, we believe in empowering our learners to become confident, responsible citizens who make a positive difference in their school and wider community. Two key groups that help us achieve this are our Faith Ambassadors and Pupil Senedd.

Faith Ambassadors
Our Faith Ambassadors are pupils who help promote and uphold the core values of our school. They support assemblies, lead reflections, and help plan special events that celebrate kindness, respect, courage, and community. As role models of positive behaviour and integrity, they encourage others to live out these values in everyday life. Faith Ambassadors also help strengthen connections across the school, promoting a sense of belonging and shared purpose.
Together, the Faith Ambassadors and the Pupil Senedd help ensure that every child has a voice and every child can shine.

Spring Update 2026: Faith Ambassadors have launched the start of a long-term development of a key partnership with Global Dignity. They created a film about dignity to share with the community and set a homework project which had many lovely responses. They will now be looking to share ways of treating yourself with dignity with our school community through videos. They will be supported by the Dept. of Social Justice.

Autumn Update 2025: 25 Faith Ambassadors were appointed after writing letters of application for their roles. Our Y2 Faith Ambassadors lead collective worship with confidence. In Upper School, our large number of Faith Ambassadors who lead whole school collective worship are now on a rota, leading collective worship across the week. They have a date booked in to meet with Emily Jones, Diocesan lead for Collective Worship, at the end of November, where they will be considering how our values can be further promoted across all pupil voice groups and learn how to monitor and evaluate collective worship. Harvest service was led by our newly appointed Faith Ambassadors, where we learnt about farming and food journeys connected to Gelliswick school and gave thanks for all we have. Thanks to kind donations from families, we were able to provide PATCH with a large donation of non-perishable items for the food bank following our harvest service in school. |
