Gelliswick CiW VC School are continuing our efforts to improve whole school attendance and punctuality. We will therefore, be operating a 'Walking Bus', bringing children to school. The Walking Bus will follow an agreed route to school under the supervision of at least two members of staff, a 'Driver' and a 'Conductor'. The Walking Bus will operate for pupils living in or around the Haven Drive loop.

Important Information:

• Children must wear the appropriate high-visibility clothing which will be provided for them by the bus staff on collection.
• Children must be ready when the 'Walking Bus' arrives. The first collection time is approximately 8.10am— unfortunately, it cannot wait.
• Parents/carers are reminded that they are responsible for getting their child to school if they should miss the bus. 
• All children using the 'Walking Bus' will go to breakfast club upon arrival, before heading to their classes.
• Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather, as the 'Walking Bus' operates in all conditions — rain or shine!

If a child will not be joining the bus on their usual day, the parent/carer must let the bus staff know by contacting the school office, in addition to following the school's absence policy.
