Croeso / Welcome
A message from our Head teacher
Welcome to our website and to our wonderful school! Gelliswick is a new school in a new state of the art building which opened in January 2018. Over 500 pupils learn at Gelliswick School in Hakin and Hubberston on the outskirts of Milford Haven.
We are proud to try each day to ‘live’ our school values that were determined by the children and adults of the school and in our community. We know that to support our pupils to succeed and excel, we must work as a whole school community. We work in partnership with pupils, parents and the community, and we are committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children. We have an open door policy and there is always someone available for you to speak to. We believe that everyone can learn and achieve with hard work, determination, and of course the right help from the people around us.
We are proud to be the heart of learning and discovery in our community, aiming that all our children will be:
- Ambitious, capable learners who are ready to learn throughout their lives.
Enterprising, creative contributors who are ready to play a full part in life and work.
Ethical, informed citizens who are ready to be citizens of Wales and the world.
Healthy, confident individuals who are ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.
Safe, will know their rights and will be listened to.
Our school, working with the community, aims to provide:
A safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes Christian values and positive wellbeing.
Authentic, exciting and inspiring learning experiences through which children acquire the values, skills and knowledge to be healthy, responsible and successful.
A dynamic culture of enquiry, collaboration, innovation and exploration for all members of the school community.
An expectation that we strive to do the best that we can, and to achieve more than we thought possible.
Please do look have a look around our website, and if you can’t find the information you need, then please contact us.
